Of all the Streetpass Plaza games I've played thus far, this is by far my favorite. And as I love playing this game so, you can bet that I've quite a few tricks up my sleeve that's going to help make your play experience so much easier.
Well first off, you'll want to wait until you've tagged yourself 10 times so you'll have the strongest ship you can possibly get. And when setting up your backup 3DS, make sure to make your Miis the lime green color. This will get you the best weapon in the game.
Once you've collected all of your Miis in a particular level, you'll want to set up your spaceship by having six of them right down the middle and then two of either side. This way you'll be as prepared as you can be for just about anything that might come at you in the level from any direction.
But you can pretty much count on the bosses to always come at you from only one direction, so change the setup to have the front three tentacles as strong as possible. When fighting the bosses, try to get all three tentacles into him so you'll be able to do as much damage as possible. Of course you'll want to dodge all of his shots at you, but you don't have to bother with dodging at all when he fires missiles because your tentacles can destroy the missiles.
The tentacles will also make finding the lost treasures much easier as a fully powered up tentacle can go through walls. Make sure to check all the different paths that a level has. And if you find that you still have trouble finding a particular lost treasure, start looking for situations where you can kill two bad guys at the same time. Remember, they have to die simultaneously or the lost treasure won't appear. And once again, this is much easier to do with the tentacles than with any other weapon.
